Since 2020, Coldwell Banker Realty has sponsored St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®  Donating over $1.3 Million dollars.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of generous donor support, they can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families. When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.

Here at Coldwell Banker Realty, we believe in the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.® And we hope to continue to lend our support to the benefit of patients like Adalyn, picture above. In January of 2022, Adalyn was diagnosed with a high-risk, stage 4 neuroblastoma. After surgery at a hospital near her home, she was referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where her treatment has included chemotherapy, two stem cell transplants, proton therapy and antibody therapy. Adalyn’s dad draws a parallel between the culture at St. Jude and their own small town, where people are friendly and eager to help. At home, Adalyn loves playing tag, hide and seek, and enjoys arts and crafts.

What is a Housing Co-op?

I was looking at homes for sale and saw a really nice condo. Reading the private notes, I learned the property was a Co-op. I managed Co-ops for 12-years when I moved to California. I’m very familiar with how they work. Since you’re not actually buying the unit, financing is very hard to come by. If  buying a Co-op is of interest to you, I found an article from National Cooperative Bank that might help. They provide financing for Co-Op purchases.

You can find the article by clicking here:  What is a Housing Co-Op?

YWCA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes – 6-22-23

At Your YWCA, we are on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Your donations help us power this mission forward. Just this year, Your YWCA answered over 6,000 calls through our 24-hour crisis line and over 3,700 survivors received crisis intervention, legal advocacy, support services and mental health services. These programs change lives, and in some cases, save lives. Check out the event page for more information: Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

We’ve raised over $123,697 through this event and could not have done it without your contribution. We’re still fundraising to support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence – our goal was to reach $120,000 by the end of this month

Why Home Prices Haven’t Crashed… Yet. Housing Market 2023

Understanding the real estate market in our area is not easy. There are a lot of experts telling us the market is crashing, they’ve been saying that since 2010. Problem is the market in the Bay Area is much different than anywhere else in California. There are even differences between Bay Area Cities and down to neighborhoods within a city. Here a video I found from someone not in California that more closely represents Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.  https://www.youtube.com/@JerryPinkas/featured
